“Hmmh…today is so bored….what must I do?”

“Hello Yose, what’s up?”

“Hey friend! I feel bored today. Just repetition and repetition I do everyday.”

“Bored? Oh come on…so your life today isn’t the life you really want?”

“Emmm…yeah, maybe…”

“So, what kind of life you want?”

“I want to break up these limitations. Now I still have some characters that I want to change. I still feel I can’t easily go outside. I do really want to be independent, can decide everything by myself. ”

“Be patient, Yose. Maybe you still can’t do some things. But remember that your study remains 1.5 years. Be patient. If you feel so, just remember several years ago, when you are still in High School. Of course you have more today than the past, right?”

“I think you’re right. I feel much happier today. I have much more good friends. I have many experiences with foreigners. I’ve already omitted some of my bad habits. I know many interesting websites. I have this blog. I am much knowledgeable. All that I’ve mentioned, I don’t have them in the past, thanks God for giving them to me. But…”

“But what? You still feel not enough?”

“To be honest, yes. You know, I still don’t know who really I am. I mean, I life for what? Just do this repetition?? Isn’t there such thing that’s more meaningful for being done? I will do with passion! I will do with my all! I will…”

“Calm down, friend, calm down. I know you are good hoper. To encourage you to pass today, I would like to hear about your dream, please.”

“I wish I can get scholarship to continue my study in Japan. Then I’ll use my knowledge to create better world. You know, there are many disasters happen and I want to help. I also want to go to Japan, China, and Korea. There are many beautiful places I want to visit. Mount Fuji, Kyoto, Shanghai, Great Wall, Jeju Island, and still so many. I also want to make friends with people from those countries. I also want to teach children, help them to find their dream.”

“Wow….you have so many beautiful dreams….if so, why are you defeated by today’s boredom?”

“Eh…?”

“Just continue your progress. Don’t waste too much time coping with boredom. Five years later I’ll ask you again with the same question: ‘of course you have more today than the past, right?’”

“Thank you so much for your advise, friend. It encourages me so much.”

“Yeah, now wake up, good boy.”

Then I wake up and take my Mandarin book.

It’s impossible to live without disagreement in this world. Disagreement happens because of difference. There are many kinds of difference; maybe they are race, religiosity, argument, or business difference. Disagreement becomes unavoidable because every people have their own difference. Each people have different physics, talent, thought, and principle. Moreover, each people have their own ego. Ego makes us difficult to live harmonically. Human has basic ego characteristic: prefer demanding respect than respect the others, prefer being listened than listen the others, prefer receive than give, and feel as superior to others.

Egoism can manifest in various ways. In the home, mom and dad often quarrel because each of them feels their argument is the most right. In the office, there are Machiavellian people who will do everything to get higher salary or higher position. In the society, there are many races who feel as “superior”. Consequently, they insult and discriminate each other. It’s clear that our ego just sharpen the difference.

As a youth, what can we do to make harmonious world? Maybe we are not yet become a scientist, spokesman, or president. Maybe we don’t have enough power to do the big things. But to make harmonious society around us, it isn’t needed such power right? All we need to do that is pure heart. We can make harmonious society by decrease our ego and give more. By train ourselves like that, difference isn’t a problem anymore. Difference even can become the “cool stuff” to give happiness for our friends, lecturers, teachers, family, and society around us.

As a good friend, we can learn to control our ego. We can give our ear to hear their argument or complaint. Don’t debate them when they tell their own problem. Don’t force them to become the person that we want, because we’ve already different since we were born. Instead, help them to find their own bright side, help them to find their own true self. Try to become a good friend. If we can’t make and keep harmonious relationship between friends, how can we make bigger harmonious society?

When we are following the lesson in the class, create a harmonious class. We can decrease our ego. How? Don’t be noisy inside the class. As a good student, we should give respect to our lecturer and teacher because they are so dedicated by teaching us. Notice all that they teach, ask them enthusiastically, try to be an active student.

In the home, try to be a good boy or girl. If there is quarrel between our siblings, don’t worsen it by following their quarrel, but vice versa, try to be a mediator to calm them down. If our parents can’t give us as we expected, don’t demand them. Instead, prove that we can become a good son or daughter. Help them when they are busy, take care when they are sick. Do all with pure heart. Make our home condition become harmonious by our presence.

Also, begin to be active in our surrounding society. Again, we’ve already different since we are born. Then use our difference (better read it as ‘specialty’) to give more. Use whatever gift that we have to create harmonious world. If we have music talent, we can cheer street boy or orphans. If we have writing talent, write inspiring words. Maybe it’s just simple words in our social network account, but at least we can strengthen the others that read it. And still many more talent we can give.

We also can keep our surrounding society by sharpening our awareness for difference in the society. Maybe there are many various races and religiosity around us. Sharpening our awareness doesn’t mean sharpening the difference, but view the difference as “cool stuff” that enriches our surrounding society. How to do that? Begin from simple things. For example in Christmas Day, if we are Moslem, say “Merry Christmas” to Christian people. When Moslem people celebrate the end of fasting period, if we are Christian, we can celebrate together with Moslem people by having a lunch together. Let us throw away our exclusiveness.

Wherever we are, make our surroundings smile because of our presence. We are created not to live in war, but to live in happiness and harmony. Remember that life never gives excuses. Use our short lifetime to give happiness wherever we are. Become a small candle that gives its light to shine the dark room though it’s just for short time.

Let’s shine the world with happiness with our presence!

October 21, 2010, I visited a company in Surabaya. The company I visited is a shipping company located in Tanjung Perak port which manages export, import, and domestic container. The port situation in Tanjung Perak, the second largest port in Indonesia, is quite interesting. That moment, I and my group were taken to the 8th floor inside the office. Pictures below show the view from the 8th floor:





The officer tells a lot of things about the port and shipping company. The information interests me because I never go to the port before. Nah, in this article I want to share about two things, the first is some important equipment that supports the operational in the port and the second is “the journey of the container”. Haha….are you interesting? Let’s read!

1. Important equipments in the port




• Forklift

Forklift is a kind of truck which is used to lift and transport materials. This special truck can carry very heavy material. In the port, one of forklift function is to carry container from container terminal (number 1, the place when containers are stacked) to wharf (number 2, the place when the ships anchor) and vice versa.

• Quay Gantry Crane

Quay gantry crane’s shape is like the common crane we often see. But this crane is located in the wharf. Its function is to load and unload containers from cargo ships.




• Rubber Tyres Gantry (RTG) Crane

RTG is also a kind of crane but have two props so the shape is like a gate. RTG is located in the container terminal. Its function is to stack the containers from the truck or train or to put the containers to the truck or train.







2. The journey of the container


Containers in this company are grouped according to the purpose: export, import, and domestic. Each of them has its own different “journey”.

Export container is the container from Indonesia that will be shipped to overseas. The officer told that most of Indonesian products to be exported are furniture. To export through this company, the exporter must send PIB (Permohonan Impor Barang) and then this company will reply with SPPB (Surat Permohonan Pengeluaran Barang) as the acknowledgment. Export goods are carried by truck and after get permission goods are ready to be packed into container to the cargo ship to be exported to overseas.

Import container is vice versa, the container that comes from overseas to Indonesia. Can you guess what does Indonesia import the most? Television, computer, handphone….yeah, electronic gadgets! Cargo ship from overseas that will come must send PEB (Permohonan Ekspor Barang) that will be acknowledged by PE (Persetujuan Ekspor). After the ship comes, containers are taken down from the ship, and pass the inspection; the containers will be carried to the destination , or they will be unpacked and sent to the destination via container truck or train.

Domestic container is container that is directed between companies inside Indonesia. The enter-exit mechanism is almost the same with export-import container, but the approval mechanism is different.

All of import, export, and domestic container must be checked before carried to the destination. They who have privilege to check them are Customs Office. How can we say a container is already proper to be sent? First, container must be undamaged. Even if there is a little damage, container must be impeded until the next instruction is given. This method is used to avoid robbery. Why? If container is torn, probably the thief has damaged it and stolen the material inside so it won’t be properly sent, do you think so? Second, the material inside container must be checked so the shipping of illegal goods such as drugs and guns can be avoided.

Hey, several days ago I read a good article. I think it needs to be shared..read it and know yourself better!

Many people often misunderstand “introvert” as negative personality. “Introvert” is often considered as coward, close minded, shy, and antisocial. But it’s not true. Some extraordinary people like Barrack Obama, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and Steven Spielberg are introvert person. But they have wide knowledge about the world. We should know that “introvert personality” and “close minded personality” are quite different.

• Introvert feels inconvenient when they are in the crowd of people. They work best when alone. But close-minded feels afraid when they are in the crowd of people.



• If an introvert knows new idea, he/she will think and consider it. But a close-minded person will immediately refuse it and say, “It’s not important!”



• Introvert rarely begins the conversation because introvert thinks his/her word before speaking. Instead, close-minded doesn’t begin the conversation because he/she is afraid to do so.

But I realize

No matter how big or small your work

bring such life for me, for this city, for this country?

Not a long time ago, in the beginning I studied in my campus I ever felt so empty. I was so enthusiastic to learn new things. I thought if I get more and more knowledge I will become great person. I didn’t need to give to others because it will waste my time. Yeah, at the time I was so arrogant.

But do you know, I still felt my life isn’t better. I still felt so empty, sometimes I thought: what’s the difference between me and knowledge repository machine? I still felt the others have happier life than me because they consider their life so simple; don’t need to know everything to be a happy person.

And now I realize: knowledge never satisfies me. Even more than that, I realize that just think for my own happiness also doesn’t satisfy me. What is my life for? Get so much knowledge as I can, then die without brings anything of them?? Just think for my own happiness and then later in my life I realize I waste my life, doesn’t do anything??

God gives me; God gives us knowledge, talent, money, time, health, and spirit to give meaning for people around us. To give something for others who need: they who never feel happiness in their life, they who live in poverty and war, they who feel empty life, and they who hurt. To give meaning for the world. To make the world smile. That’s why we life. That’s why we are created.

At the moment, I still have two more years study here in my campus. I want to give more with all that I have; I will learn how to give more with heart. I believe after I graduate, God has another special plan for me. Jesus, please use my life as You planned! I want to give all my life for You!

The number of vehicles using fuel oil energy is increasing and increasing now. Plane, car, or ship accident often happens. These accidents are often caused by fuel oil problem or aggravated by fuel oil. The damaged machine causes fire splash and then spreads to fuel oil tank, blaaarrr……The fuel oil explosion is happened and it causes more victims.

If the accident happens in the sea, oil from ships will spill in the sea. How many sea creatures die, how wide the water area have been polluted when Deepwater Horizon accident happens in Mexico Gulf?

Besides accident, the increasing number of vehicles using fuel oil energy causes air pollution mainly in urban area. Smoke that is produced make the city is lack of fresh air. Fueled oil vehicle is one of the main causes of global warming.

Will our earth be always like that? Car factory continues to product cars, more and more people have dream to owe luxury car, but….

In the fact, our crude oil isn’t increasing.

Even day by day, oilrigs in the offshore will always decrease the capacity of our crude oil for the sake of people need.

What if our crude oil is exhausted? Let us think about the worst effect that may be happened!

War happens because each country struggles to get the remaining crude oil. Crude oil becomes so scarce and its price is extremely high. There is inflation everywhere. It’s possible that nuclear war will be happened!

Terrible, isn’t it? So, it’s necessary to think alternative energy source for our future!

Every morning when we get up, see outside….our surrounding is lightened by sunlight. When we get out, our body is warmed by sunlight. Sunlight that lightens our world since ancient time is abundant and eternal energy source. It won’t be exhausted, no matter how much we use it.

If sunlight can support live for billions of people in this earth and so that for every creature, of course we also can use this awesome energy source. Yeah, use it becomes energy source for our vehicles!



Do you know Zephyr, plane which energy source comes from solar energy? Zephyr can stay aloft for two weeks, day and night above Arizona, US! In the noon, solar panels in its wing absorb energy from the sun and some of them are stored in lithium-sulphur battery, so the battery gives energy for Zephyr in the night. Let us use our imagination, imagine a city in the future which the energy source of all vehicles comes from solar. Noise from car can be greatly reduced, city air can be still fresh no matter how much car in the road, the number of victims that can be greatly reduced because we don’t need to worry about explosion that comes from fuel oil tank, and people can still have dream to owe a luxury car - with much more futuristic and cool model!



In addition, with technology advancement we can further use solar energy for vertical farming, cooking, water treatment, and enhancing many more cool gadgets using solar energy for their energy source.

Quite prospective, isn’t it?

Finally I am here, in the mid of my study time. Now there are many changes in my campus…some lecturers I know well don’t teach me anymore coz they continue their study abroad, I have some junior friends, my campus has new building with swimming pool, and some subjects I really want to learn are opened. It’s really a new atmosphere!

And I still have two more years here, two years that’s just the beginning in my life. Of course I want to be better than two years before. I remember…I often felt so unsatisfied when my mark didn’t meet my target, I often felt chased by deadline, I was afraid about my future…hmmm…now I want to throw them away. I don’t want to live in fear anymore, I want to be really free to develop my creativity and character in my last two years in my campus.

But it doesn’t mean I let myself down and don’t do anything….no!! I still want to do many things, but I don’t like to say it “target”….I don’t want to burden myself with target! I want to write more, I want to learn Eastern language more, I want to begin learning about smart machine.

And let me remind myself….if all that I do is useless if I enjoy it by myself…so I want to develop myself to make Jesus smile, to make the others happy. I want to give more with all of my talents!

Yeah…I will try my best!

In the near future, there is a man who is very brilliant in developing military strategies. He is often requested by some countries, work for them to increase the power of those countries’ army. He is very brilliant, very rich, and very famous.

As the day passed by, the world politic condition is getting warmer. The main cause is world crude oil is almost exhausted, so some superpower countries prepare their army to face each other. As a consequence, the third world countries suffer a lot because of the competition. There are inflation, hunger, and poverty everywhere. There is no doubt that World War 3 will be happened soon.

The man also follows the world condition. Every night after a day long working, he goes to his room and watches television. One time, he sees the news about the condition in some third world countries. The babies cry while their brother and sister are dying because of hunger and cholera epidemic.

Because of that, he can’t sleep in the night. His mind accuses him, “You! You participate for their suffering! You make the world become worse!!”

He tries to ignore his mind. But as he tries to ignore it, he can’t stay calm.

Several days passed. Finally he can’t bear it. He decides to retire from his job.

“Why so sudden? My country needs people like you. We promise if our country wins the war, you’ll get everything you want from this country. But please, stay work with us. If you feel your salary isn’t enough, we’ll make deal again.”

“No, it’s not about the salary. I’m just tired with my job, I want to go to the third world countries and help them.”

His colleagues laugh at him. How can a man with his brilliant ideas, his high salary, and his position choose to leave everything and help such powerless countries??

But the man decides to follow his heart. He finally retires from his job and prepares everything to go to the third world countries. He thinks, if he can successfully contribute his ideas to help superpower countries increasing their power, why not if he contributes his brilliant ideas to make a better world?

The plane that will bring him comes. But soon after he enters the plane, he is killed by conspiracy.

Such a useless deed, isn’t it? No, it’s not useless! You know, after his death, Interpol investigate the cause of his death. After they found, they publish it. His death motivates many people in superpower countries to help third world countries. His death opens the eyes for many people in superpower countries that there are their brothers and sisters in the other side of the world suffer a lot because of their competition.

Who are you?

Soldiers welcome children very friendly
While mothers see from their house garden
Smile when seeing their children
Enjoying their perfect childhood
And look at the other side!
Many teens gather, take photo together
With army from every nation in the background

In the trotoar, some old men
Having nostalgic moment
The moment where their generation
Kill and being killed, taking fire each other
But….those memories,
They promise to forget it
For them, see their son, daughter, grandchildren

“When all wars and violence cease…”

One day, there was a boy waiting in the train station. While the boy was waiting, he opened his purse and noticed the money that he had. Inside his purse, he had 10000 rupiahs, 20000 rupiahs, and 50000 rupiahs.

Suddenly a stranger came to the boy and asked, "Hey boy, how much money do you have inside your purse?"

The boy simply answered the stranger and mentioned all the money he had. Then the stranger continued his question, "May I take your 50000 rupiahs?"

"No Sir, if I give my 50000 to you I can't buy ticket for train. You can owe my 10000 and 20000, but don't take my 50000."

This illustration is very similar to us who are in the life crossroad. We are like the boy that's waiting in the station, have a big question in our mind...when the train that will bring us to the future will come. And we have many things in our life now and there is ONE thing that is the most valuable. The most valuable thing that we must keep. We can't let somebody or something take it from us...for the better future. For our true call in the world. We may lose the other things, but the most valuable thing must stay in our life forever...yeah, just like the "ticket" for our life.

The question is....what is that most valuable thing? What is our ticket that must be kept while we live?

Find it by yourself.

There are many fields in this world, such as science, industry, business, entertainment, sport, etc. All people that do their job have been contributing their own color to this world. Because there are people with their own specialization, our world become the world we’ve seen now. We can see skyscraper with 50 floor heights, animal cloning, and many more technology advancement. We’ve read inspirational story from they who are success in business, how they build their own business from zero become big. We’ve seen from the television, how athletes play so we are amazed by their playing style, wow they’re so cool….maybe we’ve been encouraged by them, someday I can be a famous player!

Nah, how about us that’s still in the crossroad? Maybe we’re still confusing, what will us be in the future? Don’t worry… here are some tips that can help you to love your work later in your life!

1. Pray, pray, pray. Yeah, we’re still in the crossroad right? So, we need to know what’s His plan in our life. He always chooses the best for us, the work that’s the best for ourselves. If we walk according to His plan, always be faithful for Him, and have willing to learn the field that He chooses to us, believe that someday He will changes our work become a great work that glorify Him, that inspires many people!

2. Always learn. There is no great work without perseverance. There are many ways to learn, right? We can use internet or book that support our field. We can learn from people who have became our pioneer. For example, if we want to be success in the business, we can learn Ir. Ciputra’s spirit, become a hard worker since his study time. If we want to be success in science, we can see our lamp that lighten us in the home…who is the creator? Thomas Alva Edison that never give up to create such “impossible mission” in his time!

3. Do your best. Whaddya mean? Is there any measurement whether we’ve done our best or not? Just do your work with heart! Don’t compare ourselves to others…it’s just make us minder if we are worse than others or maybe, it will make us arrogant when we are better than others. So…how? In every work that we do, say to God in our heart, “I promise I will do my best! I wanna make You smile today!”. We can practice in from now on, for example when we will do presentation in the class, or when we have a test…say that to Him, and don’t forget to ask Him accompany us…

4. Have a dream. Dreaming isn’t expensive, dreaming isn’t cheap, it’s free! So, what’s wrong if we have dream? Dream can encourage us to live in our crossroad time. And put all of our dreams in His hand…believe that He never disappointed us who hope in Him!

Let us raise up from our weaknesses, let us raise up from our laziness, throw away unneccessary things that can inhibit us! Remember that our life is like vapor in the wind, so use our lifetime to do His work!

Once upon a time, there was an old man in a village. He was well-known as wise man in his village because of his ability to communicate with dying tree so the tree can alive again. His ability made his village always green.

People in his village often asked him for help if they found a dying tree. Day by day, he was well-known not just in his own village but also neighbored village. Because of that, in one day he is requested for many orders.

One day, he wants to show his ability to many people as much as he can. Then announcement was spread in many villages. The day finally comes, and it’s the show time for him. At first he approached a dying tree, and then he sat down and said some magic formulas. But strangely, his magic formula didn’t give any effect. He felt so shocked and then tried again to say the magic formula. The result was same; the tree apparently didn’t live.

Do you know why is he failed? Because before he is well known by people in another village, he spoke by his heart to the dying tree, but now his motivation has changed. He can’t raise the dying tree because to speak with the tree it’s needed to speak by heart.

“In every work that you do, don’t seek for popularity. Do it by your heart, follow your heart.”

So, I don’t need to compare myself to others

My life is like vapor in the wind

Now I am here, then another day, who knows?
If I spend my times trapped in the fear, misjudgation
It means, I waste my precious time that He gives to me, right?
Now I will learn and learn
I wanna develop my own talents that He entrusts to me
I believe His plan to me is special
Coz He has different perfect plan for each people
His plan for me is also the best, it’s for sure

Yeah, I wanna be persistent
Just like a home built above the rock!

Long time I haven’t written my blog. Yeah, during this last month in this semester I feel so busy, so many tasks, home works, activities, tests and I must prepare my best for all… Finally today comes, holiday…Yay!

I write this while I listen my favorite songs. Songs that I listen when I learn, when I feel so happy because my friends were in my side hearing for me, when I feel so stressed (I’m still not strong enough eh? You can see in my previous writing hehe..). But whatever happens in this semester, I know Jesus is always with me. I know Jesus always accompany me in every step in my life; I know His plan is the best for me…

Now, I just wanna say thanks, thanks, and thanks for Jesus…

- Jesus, thanks because You give me strength when I feel sad. I can feel Your love through people around me

- Jesus, thanks because You make my life colorful…I know every activity that I follow this semester is also Your plan for me…

- Jesus, thanks because You correct me when I begin to be arrogant, when I feel unsatisfied and disgrace…I know it’s because You truly love me, You won’t let me lost….

- Jesus, thanks for all knowledge that I get this semester…I believe every knowledge that I get won’t be useless…I promise to use them for Your glory!

- Jesus, thanks because You give me such heart so I can feel this life is so graceful, so beautiful…

- Jesus, thanks to give strength so I won’t be surrender, I wanna learn and learn to be stronger, fly high with You…

I fully believe in You. You will accompany me forever. I don’t need to worry about unknown because You know everything. Now I will rest for several days, then I’ll think what I will do for this holiday!

There is a moment
When my question isn't yet answered
When I pray but He doesn't seem to answer
When my heart shouts
"Hey, I want to love, I want to be loved!
I want to be a good friend
But I can't!"

No matter how smart I am
No matter how much knowledge installed in my brain
No matter how many competition I enroll
Even if I won all of them
What are they for??
If nothing can fulfill my heart
with true happiness?

How can I found it, Jesus?
How?
Read many books about "How to Live Happily" ?
Follow many church activities??
People say
"You must love the others whatever they are"
I have tried...
But finally I always feel
I am just a boy
that can't make them happy

I share my feeling, right now
I don't want to wear mask
I don't want to hide my true feeling
My true feeling, it's normal and humanly, right??
Or just me that feel it?

No matter how painful this process
No matter how long I struggle to find the fulfillment
I won't stop, I will try
I will beg Him, in His foot
with all of my strength!!

This silent night, I am in my study room. Remember what I've done today. Really, I feel today I do many mistakes! I feel it's quite difficult to change my bad characters, to become a person that He wants...

"Jesus, I am so sorry for today...I do too many mistakes...I make You disappointed again...I don't know, will I have enough time to change myself??"

Then I feel, He just smile on me. His smile, really make me feel relieved. His gently voice speaks into my heart...

"Calm down Yose, calm down. There is no bad character that can be changed within days. You need process. Just walk with Me, I'll hold your hand so you won't be lost. Have a child heart that is ready to be shaped everytime. Just believe in Me, someday you will shine beautifully."

His gently voice, whisper within my heart. Just like a father that hold his child's hand, so does Jesus accompany me this moment. He teaches me many things about life, love, and happiness...really, Jesus is everything for me!

Please Jesus, don't leave me alone, how naughty I am! ^_^

This morning, I wake up
The sunshine enters brightly through the window
Raise up my spirit
to walk on today
"What will I do today?"
That question, makes me spiritful
Then I get up, prepare everything

When I come to the school
My penpals, friendly greet me
Here, I learn many invaluable things
Knowledge, friendship, and life
Here, I am accompanied by angels

I wonder, is it namely "youth"?
If so, how beautiful the youth is!
The moment where me and my friends
Ask each other with hope
"In the future, what will you be?"

Yeah, we are adventurer!
Don't know where our next journey goes on
We believe one thing, though
While we do our best today
We don't need to be afraid, right?

as my moment to prepare for the next journey

This sentence suddenly comes to my mind. Recently, I feel so spiritful to write, learn, motivate, and seek for creative ideas. But now I ask myself for what?

I am afraid my motivation becomes wrong. All the appreciations aren’t always positive. Sometimes they weaken us, too. It’s a kinda strange, because we’ve already had the mindset, “in the supported environment, you can become better people”. Ah, maybe it’s right for people who just accept Jesus as their Savior! But more than that, Jesus wants us to become strong in EVERY condition right?

Imagine this illustration. There are two mountaineers, A and B. A suddenly sees a steeply slope after walking in the even terrain for a long time. B also sees a steeply slope, but B has already struggled to conquer many uneven terrains and another slopes. Which one is more ready to climb the steeply slope? Of course B!

No wonder if in this life there are many problems. Maybe we’ve just rested for a short time, and then another difficult problem comes again. It’s normal! Jesus wants to see our maturity to react about the problem! It’s because Jesus wants to test our heart, again and again. Jesus just wants our heart become right, humble, and strong! Life isn’t just for pleasure, pleasure, and pleasure, but life is a struggle. Struggle to keep our faith till the end. If in our life we just get appreciations, we can become arrogant!

Become arrogant is very dangerous for our life, sometimes we don’t realize it. If we become arrogant, we will stop learning because we feel that our life is enough, we feel satisfied too early. We will do something just for other’s appreciations, not for Him anymore. We will underestimate the others who don’t have same principle with us. We become sensitive against critics. We become careless. We will forget our true purpose. Finally, when problem comes to our life, we will easily fall down!

That’s why I must remind myself, again and again, what is my true purpose? Coz I’m nothing without Him. In the past, I was just an absurd boy, my life changes better because I know Him. I actually don’t have power to change my life! Even until now, I still must learn about many things in this life. I still must change my bad characters. Jesus, please correct me if I’m wrong…

Today, I'm already 20 years old. Wow, time goes like flashlight right? Now I feel I am blessed with happiness that comes from Him. I feel today, this year, is quite different from my past. He really knows the best for me! He gives me health, best friends, spirit, knowledge, so many things for my better live. And I don't need to fear about my future, because my future is in His hand!

Instead, I want to do my best today. I've already received many many things from Him, now I must prove to Him that I can do my best. I will prove to Him that I'm happy with my live, with all of blissful life that He gives! So I must learn from the past but not regret about it, I must have plan about future but not afraid about it, and do all the best that I can do today.

Yeah, now I am going to the next journey. I still must learn about many things about this life, that's why I need You in my life. Please Jesus, don't leave me alone, I lean my life in Your hand...

Are there many roaches in your home? If you are a fisherman, do you want to get more fishes? Or, your pet looks stress and bored?

Maybe robot can become good solution. With learning about chemical substance that they like, robot can attract these animals so they swarm over the robot. For the next treatment, we can choose: want to kill them, or cheer them, or play with them?

For example, we want to “play” with stupid roaches in our home. Robot will put a stuff that’s enhanced with chemical substance that they like. When the roaches have already swarmed over the stuff in a certain number, robot will launch a deadly weapon. Bang!!

Or maybe it can be used to get more fishes. Just learn chemical substance that can become fish bait. Then robot that’s enhanced with it is released in the desired location. Robot will move and guide more fishes into fishermen’s net.

Hmmm… this technology is interesting, isn’t it?

The darkness of night

In the intersection
Automatic traffic light
Act as police in the day
My eye sees a restaurant
Full with people
Hang out, party, gambling, shopping…
Ah, this city is never asleep!!

While driving my car
I wonder, why human is so wonderful
Create a civilization
Elegant and digital civilization
Combine the darkness of night with artificial lights
Alternate the beauty of nature
Alternate the daylight sensation
Is it recorded in God’s plan?

Wow, I am living in 21th century!

Recently, there are many earthquakes happen. From Sichuan (China), Padang (Indonesia), Haiti, and the most recent was in Conception, Chile. Of course we know that those earthquakes cause many victims, maybe thousands or even hundred thousands.

Nah, ironically most of earthquake victims don't die at the time when earthquake struck, but they die because they are buried alive. Now think about their suffering for a while. Imagine that we are earthquake victim that is trapped below the ruins for three days, while our condition is very weak. We've already send SMS to our friends and family but there's no response. We also wait for rescue team but till now they still don't come. How terrible, buried alive.

Rescue team that seeks for victim surely has limitation. Moreover when several days passed after earthquake, they'll assume that buried victims have already died so they stop seeking. If actually there are still victims alive, what they can do is just waiting for their death.

What if the rescue team is equipped with robot?

Yeah, robot with heat censor and voice recognition! When the robot enters through ruins' space, heat censor and voice recognition are activated. Heat censor is to detect mammal's heat body and voice recognition is to detect whether there's noise, sound inside or not. If necessary, the robot is also embedded with lamp and camera for accurate victim detection.

About shape, the robot can be shaped like snake so they can move with great flexibility. In some countries these robots are already used. The difficulty that we meet when design this robot is, how snake robot can move above uneven terrain and climb between wall ruins. How to make every joint of snake robot become flexible also needs extra effort.

We also can make another shape. If the robot is shaped like bee (we call it drone), we don't need to think about terrain. Just like snake robot, drone also can enter through ruin space easily. Then, we must think about how to adjust drone's altitude so it can fly smartly without hit the wall or floor.

Wow, if these robots become mass-produced and we can deal with the price, we can greatly minimize earthquake victims.

We know four periods in one day: morning, noon, evening, and night. Morning is the time we prepare all to do many things that we must do that day. Noon is our most active period, where we use our energy and mind the most. Evening is the time we come back to home and talk with our family. And night, when we rest from all the activity during the day.

This year, I’ve already 20 years old. If I assume I die in 70, then now is 8 or 9 am. So it means that it’s the time to prepare all the things that I must do, to finish His work in the world according to His plan, according to His will.

This moment is the beginning, I still have many times to learn, to change myself according to His word. Sometimes He allows problems come in my life to show me my weaknesses and then change it. Sometimes I feel so hard to change it. But, like a mountaineer that must climb a mountain in hostile condition – there are predators, dense forest, and extreme slope terrain – I mustn’t surrender.

Because I have one purpose. True happiness.

True happiness, peace. Yeah, I hope in my old time, I’m surrounded by all the people who I love. I am fulfilled with gratitude to God, feeling nostalgic moment with my friends, enjoy the evening dusk in my life without feel regret.

I’ve heard many about people that feel regret and afraid in their old time. People who surrender easily to find their life purpose and then in the old time they feel their life is useless. People who have done dirty things like murder and corruption. In the old time, they are imprisoned, prosecuted, and stroked by many illnesses.

I also have heard beautiful biography about them who are success to keep their faith. In the Bible, Abraham – a man who is very faithful to God though it’s very impossible to hope. Now people know Abraham is father for many races. Albert Einstein, who met many difficulties in the school, ever became jobless for 2 years, and even Hitler want his death, but now we know him as one of the most famous scientist.

Just like Paul said “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

Isn’t it beautiful? I want after I’ve done many things in the world, Jesus embraces me and says, “Well done, my son. Now, you can rest here forever, stay with Me forever.”

How beautiful.

Lord, thanks for all that You give in my life
Thanks because You lifted me from my dark past, from all of my sins
Now, really…
I feel so close with Your love, Jesus

But, I’m afraid if someday, I can’t feel Your love anymore like this moment
I’m afraid if I become cold-heartened

I’m afraid, if someday I become rich
I become greedy, and forget Your love…
If it happens, I’ll lose true happiness that You give for sure!

I’m afraid, if someday I’ve already done many things
I don’t have pure heart anymore
I become arrogant, and just look for the others’ appreciation
Then I forget my life purpose, just serve You!

Jesus, at the moment I beg You
If my motivation become wrong
If I start to keep away from Your way and Your love
Hold my hand and pull me, so I can be closer again in Your side!
Told me if I’m wrong!
Coz I can’t live without Your love

Life outside earth
The other galaxy with its stars, planets, and debris
Wondering, how about living there?
How can our technology escort us, with portal or light speed?
But, no matter how much I wonder
Yet it’s still mystery, and the universe keeps it secret
The more I wonder about it, the more I waste my time

Who was I, or, what was I before I was born?
Why now there’s no memory left even it’s just a small piece?
What will be happened tomorrow, one week later, or one year later…
Ten or twenty years later, where will the destiny bring me?
When I’ve already been 60 years old, what kind of life will I have?
When will I go after death?
No matter how much I think about it…
Time just answers me with the sound of ticking
Hey time, don’t you know that I’m not satisfied with your answer??

At the moment, I realize
I just have small knowledge, small brain, small body….
All that I can do, just in this limited time, in this limited place
With limited knowledge and consciousness
How can I move all of ocean’s water with my small handful?
I’m just one of the infinite tiny dusts
Amidst this tremendous universe

Success without God, we will easily fall down

Success without friends, we will feel alone and empty

Success without happy family, we will feel incomplete in the home

Success without happiness, it’s lie!!

Don’t be arrogant when we are success, as if we don’t need God. God make us success because He wants our life glorify Him, for His work in the world. Do all for Him, for everlasting work not just for self satisfaction like wealth, fame, or power. Remember that our life is short, like vapor in the wind or waves in the ocean.

So for all we do, do the best to glorify Him. With motivation like that we can feel true happiness because true happiness just comes from Him.

Do your best just for Him!

People are full of curiosity. People’s curiosity has made many inventions: new land’s discovery, new technologies – communication tools, internet, and robot. Even in this digital era, our curiosity is never satisfied!

There is a curiosity that has been held since years ago. With many researches that until now aren’t yet success, many disasters like tsunami and earthquake, and density of population that cause poverty, it makes people become more and more curious about this thing.

What is it?

Yes, find trace of life outside earth!

That sound’s interesting. There are two objects that interest us so much: moon and Mars. The first, moon. Moon’s terrain that is very similar with earth makes moon become the most decent place that can be lived by people that’s ever found. But of course earth is still much better than moon. Moon doesn’t have atmosphere so the difference between night and noon’s temperature is very extreme. The sky is always black. In addition, trace of life isn’t yet proved though research is still being done until now.

The second, Mars. This red planet’s condition is also outmatched compared to earth due to great difference between night and noon’s temperature. But this planet is unique because NASA found that there are many waterway traces. Maybe those traces were rivers thousands years ago. NASA is trying to collect that proof by landing Phoenix, an explorer robot, in Mars (but why NASA doesn’t land people in Mars??)

With the improvement of outer space’s technology, people want to explore objects that are extremely far from earth. In this galaxy, planets that are very far from earth such as Jupiter and Saturn have many orbits. Maybe one of their orbits has life sign. For example Europe, Jupiter’s natural satellite. But Europe’s terrain just consists of ice desert, so it’s impossible to find life sign in such place like that. Ice as far as we stare, isn’t it wonderful??

There are more interesting objects than Europe. There are Jovian, Europe’s natural satellite and Enceladus, Saturn’s orbit. According to scientists’ estimation, both objects have dark, deep, and huge mass of “water”. The depth of sea is more than ten times deeper than the deepest trench in the earth. Let’s imagine, in such huge and deep area like that, doesn’t it have “sea creatures”?? It’s scary, isn’t it? Though there’s life sign in Jovian and Enceladus, it doesn’t assure people can live there because maybe Jovian’s creatures breathe using methane. Maybe Enceladus’ creature is fiercer than the fiercest predator in earth. Maybe they are smarter than us. Maybe…maybe….yeah, continue imagine by yourself ^^

Not just in this galaxy people seek the life sign. People also try to seek life sign outside Milky Way, but the condition is much more extreme than in this galaxy, such as planet than tenth times greater than Jupiter, or noon’s temperature that reach 2000 degree Celcius, or planet that circle its center so close.

There are so many questions in my mind. If life sign is actually found, is the condition better than earth?? Are the creatures welcome us?? Can our technology escort us to the destination planet that is tenth light years from earth??


But it’s the most important question that you must think: if it’s so hard to seek life sign outside earth, if there is no place that can match earth’s beauty, why do we often treat our beautiful earth irresponsibly??

It's an invaluable thing that I have been learning since High School till now. Just flashback, in my High School time I often felt meaningless, minder, and bored. There is no spirit to learn in the school so I used to play games. For what purpose I must learn?? I also thought there was no best friend, in addition in the home it's also unhappy. I often blamed my condition. Don't ask about future, I surely just shrugged.

The holiday time before I started to study in new university was the time I started to change my habit though just a little. I still often blamed my condition, why could my friends study in other cities even abroad, while I am just in my hometown?? Is God really unfair??

Now all of my doubt and all of my questions are totally answered. God's plan is above all of human plans. I just realize that lifestyle in another city is quite bad. God knows if I study in the another city while my personality is still weak and bad, I surely become worst and worst!! I surely become hopeless and absurd!! God really knows the best for me. Really, until now I still don't know why He chooses to save me.

Now I start to know Him better and better. My life is changing little by little. He give me my best friends that help me become a better person. I start to learn how to become a strong person. He really gives me chance to change my personality!! Yeah, I say thanks to Jesus because my condition now is much better than before!!

Jesus is really the best for me, that saves my life. Now I will change and change, let His hand guide and shape me with love as He wants. I believe, God has designed perfect future for me.

Don't be sad if your condition is still bad until now, because it's the part of your progress that will make you stronger in the future, like a butterfly that just change itself from pupa's shape. God has designed perfect future for you all, guys!!
