Life is All About God

Now I have been in Jakarta, working as trainee for one month already. I feel this moment doesn’t have much different with the time when I was in university. Learn, play, and hangout with new friends…I feel very grateful. I remembered my last semester, when I feel so confused about future, whether I will continue my study or work first. But I am only human anyway, my view about future is very, very limited. So my plan which I think is the best isn’t always the best in God’s eyes. Yeah, I have learned one lesson now.

In Jakarta, I learn more about life lesson from many people: my mom, my aunt, my colleagues, and also board directors in the place where I work. One thing I must always remember in my mind is: to be a better person, I must stop idolizing my own self. Sometimes we felt better when we criticize others, when we post some good words in social network, when we talk about things that are right in our own view, when we said God’s word, so we can be seen as hero. But as time goes by, such actions will make us proud of our own self. When others criticize us, we will become sensitive and then defend ourselves. And it will make God sad, because without we realize, we forget God and become self-centered.

To be a better person, we must throw our own self away and learn from others instead of criticize them. So we can be a blessing to others. I have so many plans when I was in university, but in the end God’s plan will be done. It proves that our life isn’t us at all. Our life isn’t ours, it’s all about God’s glory.

Even when we struggle with desperation, even when we must struggle with dark side, even when we must experience trials and misery, but if it’s God’s plan….it’s OK. Just do the best with our part. Coz life is all about God.

Fight for Freedom

Having free personality
That can smile whatever the condition is
That can be more open to everyone
When everyone sees me, they feel comfortable near me
Having many best friends
More open, more open
No more dark side
No more things to hide

That is my dream
That is what I want to be in the future

I won’t escape from past
But I will deal with past no matter what

It’s not easy for me
Who has been an introvert for years

But this is my dream
I will fly to the sky
I will soar high in the sky

And for that reason
I will continue to fight
Coz life is precious

God Holds the Answers

Do you have questions that you don’t understand in this life? 

Are you in condition you don’t understand, why do this happen to you?


I have so many questions I don’t understand yet. Why I don’t have nice beginning like others. Where I will go. What I will be in the future. And there are several questions I don’t understand yet.

Every people have its own questions too, and those could be different as time goes by. Those can be your past, those can be your present, those can be your future. Let’s take the simplest example. When we was in Senior High School, we will start questioning which university we will continue our education. After we graduate from university, we will start questioning what kind of job we will take. Who is our future husband/ wife. What kind of future we will have. There are also other types of questions, for example why we are betrayed by people that we believe so much. Why we go bankrupt. Why we must experience this failure. And still so many.

But we know as long as we have God in our life, there is assurance for our life. Remember that we are not God and He is God, so it is normal for us to have so many questions. Remember that He will never leave us. He will never forsake us, for He is faithful. Just go on with Him, believe in Him in our every way, and He will give us the right direction. By walking according to His direction, our questions would be answered one by one.

Do you believe, none of our questions left unanswered in the end? At that time we will realize that our book is finally perfect. God, who is author, will finish our life book. At that time we will completely understand that God’s plan is the best for our life. He loves us perfectly more than we can imagine!

John 16: 23-26
In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father. In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. 

Stranded Starfish

One day, there was an old man walking in the beach, in the dawn. He saw a little boy picking some starfishes, and then throws them to the sea. The old man asked the boy why he did like that. The little boy said, if he let stranded starfishes in the beach, when the sun rises, the sunlight will burn and kill them. “But in this beach, as eyes can see, there are several millions of them,” the old man refuted, “Does your deed make difference?” The little boy looked the starfish that he hold inside his hand, and then threw it to the sea. “To that one I made a difference!” He said.

Be the light worker, we can’t be everything, but we can be something.


One day, there are four candles
Their light gradually become dim
So the room becomes dark

One of the candle, called ‘Peace’
Peace says,
“People can’t keep me
I am useless now”
So peace put out its own light

The second candle called “Faith”
Faith says,
“People can’t keep me
I am useless now”
So faith also put out its own light

The third candle called “Love”
Love says,
“People can’t keep me
They pick fight each other
Even they hate others who love them
I am useless now”
Love also put out its own light sadly

Suddenly a boy comes to the room
He says,
“Why is this room so dark??
I am afraid!”
He cries, beg the candle
To lit on their light again

Then the fourth candle called “Hope”
Touched by that boy’s sincerity
Hope says
“Don’t worry, boy
While I still have light
We can lit on the other candles.”


No matter how hard our burden is, don’t give up HOPE.



When I walk, sight-seeing around
Many people around me
Sometimes, I feel inferior and ask God

“God, why do I was born with weaknesses??”
“I want to be others, I hate myself!”

“
Don’t you know My son,
Everything isn’t always look so beautiful as you think
Other people’s life…
You think that their life is always more beautiful than yours
But you don’t know they don’t have something good like I’ve given to you
You don’t know whether they struggle for something, just like you
And you don’t know what I will provide for your future
Don’t only judge and compare, because it will make your day bad
”

“
But God,
Look at that people!
They seem so perfect.
They have happy life, always smile without worry
I know them well…
”

“
My son, no one is born without weakness
Even when someone looks perfect
That’s because they grow up and struggle many times
Just like you
And the most important thing you must remember,
I will guide you forever
I will never forsake you
It’s not because of your strength, your life will be perfect
It’s because I love you, and I will make it perfect for you
Just believe in Me
Someday in the end you will smile and say
‘Thanks Lord, now my life is complete’
Don’t you believe My guidance?

My 2012 Resolution

My 2012 resolution:
  
  1. I must do the best for my thesis, so I can graduate well on July 7, 2012.
  2. I must learn more to respect others and be humble.
  3. I must improve my English, Japanese, and Chinese.
  4. I must build better and better relationship with Jesus. I must keep holiness!
  5. I must learn more to be independent.
  6. I must improve my knowledge about electro informatics engineering, after I graduated! Because I want to study and work in this field later!

I will do my best this year! And God please work on my life, change my character and lighten every dark side in my life so I don’t have any more dark side forever!

The Lighthouse

This video was played when I had Chinese lesson. After I saw the video, my teacher explained the meaning of the video. Our father and mother are like the lighthouse to guide our life. The boat that little by little becomes bigger until become a gigantic ship is like our life. When we entered kindergarten, we just had small boat that can’t go any further because we were heavily depend on our parent. Then we entered elementary school, we had much more in our life: we learn about friendship, science and social lesson, etc…our boat changes into a motor boat. We can go much further than our kindergarten time, but there’s always a lighthouse guide us back. 

Then we have a bigger ship in our high school: we begin to look for girlfriend/boyfriend, we learn much more about friendship, we have much more knowledge, we begin to be active in school organization…and there’s always a lighthouse guide our way. Our parent tells us how to avoid bad things such as drugs, how to study well. Afterward, we have a bigger ship when we enter university: we begin to study in another city. We begin to be more mature, we begin to think about job, we begin to be active in society…and there’s always a lighthouse guide our way. Our parent teaches us how to be independent, our parent suggests us when we feel confused for finding a decent job for us. 

After we graduate from university, we’ll have a gigantic ship. We have our own life and not depend on our parent anymore…we become financially independent. We have our successful business, we begin to go to abroad, we have our own marriage, and we live separately from our parent. But the lighthouse still stands for us to come back…remember when we have our successful life, don’t forget our parent coz they made our direction right. Remember when we have our successful life, don’t forget our parent…they have such pure heart to make us a better person. Remember when we have our successful life, don’t forget our parent…we are nothing without them.

And if at the moment we’re still in high school or university...do the best for our study, our relationship, don’t destroy our life with bad things! That’s our parent will to make us better and better person.


Thanks for my teacher for giving me this precious lesson...


"Be the light" means
There is nothing to hide in our life
There is no hidden sin
Even the others don't see us
We can keep our attitude as God says

"Be the light" means
Everything that we do
Not because of others thought
Not because of our own will
But just because of God will

"Be the light" means
Have strong will to be shaped
As God wants
Through the joy and through the hardship
We must keep our faith strong

"Be the light" means
Our heart must be ready
To leave people that we love
To leave our safe zone
To do all that God says faithfully

"Be the light" means
We are ready to be unknown
For everything that we do
Coz that's all not for our own glory
That's all just for His glory

Friends,
If you have strong desire inside your heart
To help and save the people outside
To tell the world about His love
Please, don't let it go away
Fulfil God's call in your life

There are still many people outside
That need a hug and "God loves you" word
Be the light of the world
Shine brightly, shine bravely!

Keep My Dream Alive!

When I remembered my not-too-long past
When I feel so hopeful
When I write about future that I never know
When I walk lonely in the street,
From my campus to my home
When I see the bright noon scenery
When I see the night sky, full of stars
When I feel the cool wind breezes

I remember the moments
When I walk to the church
My hearts pray,
"God, please hold my dreams!"
"God, how long I must wait?"
"God, please use me as Your light, to give smile for the world!"

I remember the moments
When imaginations were sketched strongly inside my head
About science fiction, about future technology
If I can realize just one of them!
That was I thought

When I see picture of big cities of the world
Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul
They really made my heart runs!

At the moment, I should remember all
I must keep them alive!
I know, conditions change much right now
I realize the complexity of life, more than before

Now, really
I won't let my dreams disappear
Just because I see my surrounding
I want to keep my dreams alive
See them grow, through the noon and through the night!
I just want to look up
I need stronger heart, stronger commitment!

Do you know the history of Israel and Judah kings thousands of years ago? From Saul, David, Solomon, until Hezekiah, Manasseh, Amon, etc. Their life is always remembered from generation to generation till now. They who live faithfully to God and take care of their people, in the end of their life they are buried with great honor by their people. Why? Because their people lost their beloved king! The kings who live badly, astray their people, and kill many innocent people, they died miserably. Their people don’t love their king. Of course, we will feel much more peace and inspired when we read the king who live faithfully to God till the end, right?

How about our life? Remember, our life is also recorded! Our life will be recorded by God, by our own memory, and by our surrounding. So let’s make our life record beautiful, start from today! Smile gently for our surrounding. Never stop pray and be faithful to God. Make deeper and deeper relationship with God. Throw away “garbage” from our life, like grudge, jealousy, and lust. Be a people who contribute much for our surrounding. Be strong and tough, not easily give up when we face difficult situation. Do every work that is entrusted to us with full heart.

Remember when we grow old someday, such today will be remembered. Could we smile when we remembered today? Could our life inspire our surroundings? Could our life make God smile?



“When we were born, we cried and our surrounding smile. Do the best with our life so that when we die, we smile and our surrounding cries.”

Life Garden

One day
Someone give me a garden
The garden is named “Life Garden”
He says to me,
“I give this garden to you
And also, I give you these seeds
This one is love seed, this one is hope seed, and this one is faith seed
Grow them become trees!
Remember, someday I'll be back and see your garden!”

I receive his gift happily
Then I plant those seeds in the best part of my garden
In first days, I notice their growth very much
Watering them, giving them fertilizer
“That man says, once I am successful to grow them,
They would become very beautiful and strong trees.
He says, the trees would yield so many colorful and delicious fruits
Even they will be too much for you to eat all alone!
So you will like to share the fruits with others
Birds will make nest in the top of your trees
He also says, once I am successful to grow them,
The roots will have the ability
To retain fresh water
You can enjoy it later, believe it!”
Wow! That sounds wonderful!

Some months passed
Until someday I found
So many strange weeds, I never plant before
Anxiety, anger, fear, grudge, lust, spite
I immediately clear them away
Some weeks later
Those weeds appear again
Around my small love, hope, and faith plant
That begin to grow up
Again, I clear those weeds

But, do you know
Every some weeks, those weeds continually appear and appear!
Then I see my love, hope, and faith trees
Even though I notice them so much
Their growth is still very slow
What! I feel like giving up

Then I don't notice my garden anymore
Until someday, someone pass in front of my garden
“Hmmm...this garden is so crowded with weeds
Who is the owner of this garden?
Why are they so lazy?”

Ah! His word makes me realized
When I don't notice my life garden anymore
My life garden would be seen so bad
For everyone passed in front of my garden
Then I rise up, and again clear the weeds away
And I see my love, faith, and hope plant
Oh, some of their leaves seem to be withered!
I remember the man who gives me this life garden
I remember all his words

How fool! Don't be lazy!
I hope many things but do less
What for?
If I am lazy, my garden will be also useless!
Clearing weeds away every some weeks,
Isn't it also part of my duty?
Waiting and noticing the growth of my love, faith, and hope plant
Isn't it also part of my duty?

Just remember, when they grow become trees
They will bless me, bless everyone who pass my garden!
Surely, everyone who see my garden would say,
“Wow! What an amazing garden!
The owner of this garden, must be strong and patient person,
Just like those tall, strong, and fruity trees!”
