Wow, time is so fast...now I'm already in the end of 2009. This year is really different than before. One word for 2009: colourful! Yay, there are many friends that I met and many activities that I do. Really spiritful and colourful!

I also learn so many about character. How to dream more and try to realize my dreams. How to walk on this life with optimistic. How to change my bad characters. How to depend my whole life on Jesus.

Thx for Jesus, my family, and my friends that colorize my 2009! I will learn more and more in 2010! I have a dream: study in Japan! Hope I can be closer with my dream in 2010!

- Every morning after you wake up, breakfast is ready above your dining table to give you energy.

- When you are going to work or school, the first that you meet will greet you friendly.

- When you have a difficult mathematic problem in the school, your friends will help you.

- When you are sad, your friends will ask you “what’s your problem?” and then try to cheer you.

- When you go back to home, delicious meal is ready waiting for you without you need to cook it.

- When you open your facebook, many notifications appear. Maybe they are just simple jokes or simple daily conversations but they can make you smile.

- When accident comes to you in the street, people around you will help you without asking.

There are so many simple things that we don’t realize but actually they bless our day very much. They’re proved that God loves us very much. He never leaves us alone.

So walk on your days with spirit and optimistic. After wake up, don’t forget to say thanks to God because you’re still accompanied till today. And also don’t forget to help the others, because God can make everybody become angel for the others including you.

~~Find the true happiness for your better life~~

Learning software is one of IT students’ daily activities. One of them is Photoshop, software that’s specialized to edit and manipulate picture. Learning Photoshop is very unique. It’s quite difficult for beginner because there are so many tools. But with just making some projects like create poster, beginner surely can memorize tools that are often used.

Then, can we be considered as “Photoshop expert” with just knowing tools that are often used? Of course not, uh? There are still many masterpieces that are much better rather than us, that just make some projects, though maybe we and the others know the same Photoshop tools.

Not just Photoshop, the other softwares are same too, for example Flash, Movie Maker, and so on. Language programming is also same. We can memorize syntaxes within just several days, but just knowing syntaxes can’t assure that we can make antivirus or games.

The other fields are same too. More things that we learn make us realize that there are still many things that we don’t know. For example, learning languages. Maybe we know well about grammar, but when we speak with natives, we don’t know, what the hell the native speak? Does the native speak about slang languages, or words that we still don’t know? And so do about learning music, sports and the other fields and talents.

Learners often feel satisfied too early. With just knowing some Photoshop tools, we consider that we don’t necessary anymore to continue learning. Then our learning process is stopped. With the mindset like that, we will never go to the next level.

Photoshop tools, language programming syntaxes, basketball basic training, and singing basic technique actually just need about 5% of our learning process. The rest is about our creativity, effort, and brain.

So, the key is well decision about talent or field that we will learn as our specialty. Then do our best about our choice. Never stop learning.

This is the first time I don't go to church after I commit to be faithful for Jesus since July 2009, and this Sunday actually there is no activity that can prevent me to go church.

But I don't go.

No, not because I'm lazy. Not because I feel angry with Him. I won't be angry with Jesus, because He's the best for me.

I just feel doubt. Doubt with my decision to go to church. In the church I often feel uncomfortable. There are many reasons for example feel alone, my mom doesn't agree with me and so many that I can't mention here. In the past I hoped I can find true happiness with coming to church. But why today I don't feel so? Even in Christmas Day, December 25 2009 I felt uncomfortable. Isn't it funny?? Coz this year is my first time to celebrate Christmas for myself!

I ask God, if a person that's not always go to church every Sunday, Christmas or Easter, does it mean unfaithful?? If a person that's always go to church, does it mean faithful?? Or he/she just cover himself/herself with fake religion??

Now I feel doubt. I just pray, hope I can find a place that I can communicate with Him comfortably. I also pray so I can have deep desire to come for Him. If I go to church without deep desire to worship Him, but just Sunday's daily activity, isn't it fake??? I want to be faithful, love Him more and more, but I just don't know how to do. I don't know what He wants from me.

Please Jesus, I feel doubt with my decision. I just want to feel true happiness when I pray and sing for You...

Now I’m already in semester 3. I feel have more colorful life rather than my first day in university. I am trying to achieve maximal GPA, following many activities, and trying to be faithful for Jesus. I want to do my best; maybe Jesus will realize my dream.

In other hand…
I also feel my problems become more and more. Compared with the beginning and mid semester one, that time I felt everything is OK. All of my friends that I know support me very much. Also, I still have many imaginations. Really, I feel that last year is much happier, joyful, and relaxed rather than now.

How about now? Some of my friends don’t support me anymore. I also feel that my mind become much more complex. My imaginations are less than last year. I also sometimes hate myself, why I do this bad thing?? I feel that myself is very hard to be conquered. Problems come and gone away, they make me have at least one stressed day in a week. Oh…no…is it real life??

I remember that in semester one I ever read about philosophy of life. Life is like climbing a high mountain. There is a time I will enter dense bleak forest. If I don’t have someone to guide me, I SURELY WILL DIE. I will lose, don’t know the true direction then finally my journey will be ended tragically, maybe I become prey of wild predator, or even go back to the foot, say to my Jury, I am surrender!!

Is it the purpose of my dream that I begin last year?? Yeah, it’s normal actually. If you decide to climb a high mountain, when will you feel the most spiritful? Just in two places! First, when you decide to begin climbing, then you stare the mountain’s peak, wow it’s awesome! What if I can reach the peak? You wonder, wonder, and wonder, so beautiful. Second, when you’re already in the top, it’s the true happiness. The most beautiful scenery will be seen from the peak. You can see everything: cities, lamps, and forest that you ever pass below.

Nah, what if I am in the slope??

Tiredness, depressed, fear, and doubt will be felt by the climber. So do me now. Sometimes I feel pessimist, am I fool to make such a high dream?? Will I reach the top? I am in the dense bleak forest! Or I can’t bear myself to stop and see below; feel satisfied with all that I’ve already achieved. It’s not more beautiful than the first time I make a dream or later I will be in the peak!

That’s why I need a guider. A guider that’s more than friend, more than parents, that lightens my way even in the darkest forest. I know now I’m being processed so later I can become strong, not easy to fall down. Now I believe, though I’ve so many problems I must go on! Because even in the most difficult problem, my guider always with me. My guider always gives me the safe way. Even when I have problems, there are many friends that support me, thanks to my guider. I must have climber mental, though I am in the dark forest but I must continue step by step to the peak!

Ahh...I just finished photoshop CS2 tutorial I got from internet. I just follow the steps, but the result is awesome!! I just change the wallpaper's picture... maybe next time I can design a futuristic wallpaper!!

Wow, time goes so fast like flashlight, now I’m already in semester 3. Like semester 2, I have several targets, for example achieving maximum GPA point. Then for my character, I wanna be humble, strong, organized, and faithful for my Jesus.

Nah, I feel that in semester 2, I try to work hard but eventually less result. Why? Am I still less effort? No! When I flashback, I think that in semester 2 I have too many anxieties. Due to worrying about my future, so I feel that the other people just bother my goals. Oh…how childish! Even I think that semester 1 is much better than semester 2!

Why, why? Yeah, the reason is LACK OF HAPPINESS. If I have no difference between my JHS’ time and campus’ time, it means that I also have no change. It’s absolutely right that there’s an utterance that said “The past is history, tomorrow is mystery, but today is PRESENT.” God gives me today so I can enjoy it and do my best.

Now, I am trying to do my best for today, not for tomorrow because tomorrow is built by today right? The house is built from the foundation not from the top. At the moment I am trying to make better friendship (friend is the most precious Jesus’ gift, right?), to not force my idea to the others, to be more tolerate, to find my self talent, to find true happiness, and to do the best every business that must I do for today. Though sometimes I fail and fail…

About my future, can I change my future myself? Who am I? It’s the foolish thing that I think. But now I put my dreams (travelling, study abroad etc) into Jesus’ hand, coz only Jesus that know my future.

Just do the best today for tomorrow, not tomorrow for today…

Wow, finally my dream can be realized! Yesterday night, when I opened my Yahoo email, I got message that I’ve registered in Kyoto University, Japan! Hence I couldn’t sleep that night. I can’t stop to say thanks to Lord! Finally, I could close my eyes in the early morning…

Tomorrow, I woke up too late. This week I must prepare everything that I need to go Japan: important documents, visa, stuff, airplane ticket, and I won’t forget the one: Bible. Thanks Lord! I also must go to Japan ambassador’s office to get further information about everything that must be prepared, especially things that I needed when I’m already in Japan. I also browse internet to get info about my class and my dictate. Robotto, Japan, ASIMO, I’m coming!

One week passed, finally I finish my business. Ha! I feel relieved, my struggle up till now to change my bad characters, to motivate myself to always learn and learn, and to be faithful with Jesus is success! Now I must say goodbye with my family and friends. My family is very happy I can reach my dream, though they feel sad I will go. But I’ve already taught them to keep contact with me by email, facebook, messenger and so on. Many messages “congratz” appear in my handphone and facebook’s wall. Wow, thanks Lord, You always understand everything what I need, my hope in You won’t disappointed me!

The day I go to Japan finally comes, me and my family go to Soekarno-Hatta airport. There are also my best friends go with me. After say goodbye and give last advises, I and my friends go to airport. Our flight will start within several minutes. I bring my suitcase toward the plane.

“The plane will flight to Narita airport, Tokyo immediately. Use your safe belt.” Slowly, the plane begins to take off. Yay!

Several minutes passed. The plane already flies high in the sky. I talk with my friends, share our experience of life. The long flight but meaningful finally ends when the plane lands in Narita airport, Tokyo. Lord, thanks! This is the country I always dreamed in the past, now I’m here! Afterward, I and my friends go with taxi to a hotel in Tokyo.

Several days passed. I already found apartment in Kyoto to live after I search in the internet. Yeah, I feel confuse to live in this country, but fortunately there is a guider to help me. He said, if I will go to Kyoto I must go by Shinkansen, Japanese electric train. Wow, how beautiful if a dream become reality.

Two days after, I go to Kyoto by one of the best train in the world, Shinkansen. Here is very clean and neat, I am amazed with this country. The attendants are also very friendly, though they can’t speak English well. I see from the window, Fujiyama, Japanese icon! Am I dreaming? I blink my eye, still don’t believe it. No, this is real! The beautiful mountain with snow capped at the top, that in the past I just saw it in the photos, now in front of my eyes! Thanks Lord!

I arrive in Kyoto. I go by taxi to my apartment. In my apartment, the condition is very supportive to learn, there is fast internet connection. There is also a computer to do programming, though I actually already have a laptop.

One day after, I go to Kyoto University to get all important info. Yeah, one week later I must start to study. I must do my best to study here; I want to better that Japanese student. I still have a dream after I graduate, I can use my ability to help the world through producing smart machines that can help many people.

Study time finally comes. I am very happy; I never stop say thanks to Jesus. But in the other side I feel unusual! I feel embarrassed when I see many Japanese students. Because of that I just say “ohayoo gozaimasu” to them with smile. Haha, but I still have Indonesia friends to help me to adapt with new situation, at least for the first days…

Many months passed. This university is really high class, lecturers teach us with full English. Everyday we hold discussion, programming, and research. To make my brain chill, every Saturday I go around Kyoto for half day, and the next half day to learn again. Sunday, I go to church for Indonesia people in this city, and say thanks to Jesus for everything.

Yeah, I still have a dream, my purpose not yet become real. To produce smart machines! I will try all of my best to study in this high class university. I will prove that Indonesian people can be better than Japanese people! Jesus, please walk beside me along my life, don’t leave me alone. I can’t walk on my life without U. I will do my best to glorify U!

AIESEC, abbreviation from Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales, is the biggest youth organization in the world. Established in 1948 after WWII ended, this organization has activities in social field. This organization takes care about world issues like poverty and environment. Hence AIESEC holds activities like seminar, internship, and many.

Indonesia has joined AIESEC since 1987. Now in Indonesia there are several AIESEC branches, one of them is in my hometown, Malang, AIESEC branch is in Brawijaya University. The organization’s committees are Brawijaya’s students. AIESEC also has partnership with Machung University to expand network.

June 26,2009, me and friends did interview in UB. The purpose is to select buddy for intern that would come to Malang. We could pass that interview if we have enough English language skill and high interest about this activity. One day after, I got information that he could pass the interview.

June 27,2009, me and friends went to UB to see the intern which would be accompanied. Mostly of interns that come to Malang was from China and the rest was from Korea, India, Germany, India, Holland, and Poland. I got intern from China, Zhao Qinhao. He comes from Tsinghua University, Beijing. His department is marketing. He came at July 1, 2009.

Interns were divided into several groups according to their project like Tourism, Go Green, and Children. Qinhao got Go Green group, the project that take care about environment issues. The place where Qinhao works was in Tunas Hijau, its location is the south of Malang’s library. In addition, sometimes Qinhao and the other interns in Go Green project were also sent to many schools in Malang to give environment seminar to children.


Zhao Qinhao and another interns in Borobudur temple, Jogjakarta. They are mostly from China, the rest are from Poland, Norway, and Korea.

My task as buddy was helping intern so he could live by himself in Malang. I helped Qinhao to teach how to go to his working place by himself, give information about the nearest stall and the other important place. In addition, if Qinhao had free time, I accompanied him to introduce Malang. I invited him to go to Araya, Matos, and Tidar villa.

There are many experiences that I got. I could improve English and Mandarin language skill. I also knew more about Malang like the important place for tourism and public transportation’s route. In addition, there are also how to manage time, make promise, be more professional, and many knowledge from different people. It’s very meaningful!

We often feel bored, empty because everyday we just do routine activities, same activities day by day. Feel bored while working, even feel bored while holiday. In the fact, when the day begins at 4 a.m. until the sun sets, million of new things appear in the world. Don’t believe? Think these…

- Do you know if everyday many singers and bands try to create new songs? Uniquely, there are no two songs that are same.

- Do you know if everyday many new ideas are uploaded in internet, for example articles, comments, paintings, or even just shoutout in facebook’s wall?

- Do you know if many drawers also try to paint new painting everyday?

- Do you know if our governors and politicians always work hard to make their own area better?

- Do you know if in the world there is no same day? If don’t, try to read newspaper everyday, and you’ll find there is no same news.

And still so many, if you feel bored motivate yourself to colorize the world. How? Give your brilliant ideas wherever you are, at home, while working, university, and school. Even when you write “today is beautiful” in facebook’s wall, actually you’ve already gave positive influence in the world. You also can find your hidden talent and use it to colorize the world. Find the purpose of why you were born. And the most important, always pray. With praying, we are communicating with our God, we can say, “Thanks God for the day that You give, thanks for the beautiful life that You give, thanks for everything!” . More often we communicate with our God, our emptiness will be fulfilled too.

Believe that God doesn’t program us like robot that just do mundane things day by day. God also gives us the creativity to be sharpened. How can you are same with robot! Think the world right now, why facebook, sophisticated technologies, skyscrapers exist? Because every people in the world are also give color!

Yeah! Human mind is the greatest power in the world, exceeds tanks, helicopters, or the newest type of aircrafts. With mind, people can faraway to Tokyo, Washington even go to other planet though our body is in bed. Everything that’s created by human is originated from human mind. Actually, we have two different worlds, our true world and our virtual world.

That sound’s great, isn’t it? Human can create things that don’t exist in the world, even the thing that’s absolutely unreal! It’s one of my hobbies too, day dreaming. Nah, how far our mind should control us?


- When we are creating something. I realize it when I saw many videos in YouTube. There are many “out of this world” scenarios of game, like bionic-legged robot, futuristic imagination about 2012 or 2142. So wonderful. Yeah, when we are creating something, our mind is wandering in virtual world, faraway, like a wanderer in the desert searching for oasis; our mind is searching for ideas. This is important; because it can colorize the world, create many variations.

- When we are planning. Of course we must have vision so we can reach it. Try to apply it and feel that our mind can control our behavior.

- Increasing our carefulness. Before leaving home it’s surely that we can’t let the door opened. In other case, to increase our carefulness about bad-suspected thing. But don’t be over suspected.

In other hand, our mind can become wild, exceeds any ferocious animal in the world. For example:

- When we imagine unmoral thing. Every crime in the world like rape, fraud etc is also originated from human mind.

- When we experienced bad thing. Our mind is manipulated by the traumatic accident so we can feel insomnia, nightmare, trauma, or stress.

- When we are day-dreaming in wrong time. We become less-concentrated, can’t sleep etc. If we are over dreamed, we can be considered as weird people.

- When we decide to begin something. Sometimes our mind wanders searching any bad thing that will be happened. Sometimes it’s needed for anticipation, but sometimes it can inhibit us to go ahead.

- When our mind is controlled by wrong ideology. Wrong ideology can take part of our mind very much (we often know it as “brain-washing”), so we forget about love and compassion, even we forget about the purpose of life. Guess why terrorist has strong will to sacrifice himself to kill the others with bomb?

- When our mind cause wrong face expression. Do you ever see your friend that smile without reason? Hahaha…


See? Our mind, beside can motivate us very much, in the other hand it’s quite difficult to control it. There are several tips to control our mind:

--> Have this principle: anxiety, sadness for one day is just for one day. Everyday have its own anxiety or sadness.

--> Limit our mind area, in our virtual world there are some places that mustn’t be visited just like our true world. If needed, give sign “RESTRICTED”, for example unmoral thing or negative thought. We can say to own self, “Stop! It just my mind, actually there’s no such thing like that.”

--> Realize that we still face true world. Day-dreaming in the wrong time and wrong place, or too much day-dreaming can cause the others consider us weird.

--> Find the truth. Wrong ideologies can astray us, so find the truth! It’s the most important.

Yeah, those are few tips. Until now I am still trying hard to control against my ferocious mind, against the unreal things that’s actually originated from my mind which can inhibit me to go ahead. Cuz I’m a kinda scatterbrained person.

Well, time goes so fast, and now I am in my mid-holiday. Yeah, I planned many things before holiday, and I think I've done some of them. For example, to learn English and Japanese language because I have a dream to continue my study in Japan. I've learned them not just from the book but also from movie and native.

But I realize that it's not possible if I just use the whole holiday to learn language. My department is IT, Information Technology not Language department. In addition, next semester I will use new programming language, Java. So I plan to use my remain holiday time to learn programming, and if possible, Artificial Intelligence, the field that I love to study, especially later in Japan.

1. If there are just doctors in the world, no patients, it's useless for doctors to work. Because no one uses their services. Vice versa, if there are just patients, this world is surely become miserable and terrible. No one heals them.

2. Do you know if in the world all of people can become teacher? Yeah, of course for different subjects. Imagine if all people just teach one subject: mathematics! The world becomes so booooreeed, uncompetent, and confusing!

3. If all people in the world are rich, no one poor...may the world become happy? No! It's nonsense! People will lose one of human characteristic: taking care. Vice versa, if the world is just dominated by poor people, the world become miserable and discouraged. Because no one become a good example for them. Because the world has rich and poor people, we know the story about Mother Teresa, Oprah Winfrey that encourage us very much.

4. Why are there handicapped people? If the world doesn't have handicapped people, no one motivates us. We just feel our life mundane. Do you feel so? Look at Nick Vujicic, man without limbs but his spirit lighten our world very much!

5. Why are there different languages in the world? It provides brighter future for many people. Do you know English teacher, Chinese teacher, Japanese teacher, those professions exist because of many various languages in the world. The difference of language also encourages us to promote our own language to the others, to prove that our languages is the best.

6. Why are there many countries exist? Is it better if the world is united, no countries so there's no war? I say, no. Because of many different countries we can compete with the others to prove that our own country is the best. Look at USA and Sovyet Union! Because of competition among them now we can see and use rocket, satellite, technology etc. The existence of many countries also brings profession for example President, Ambassador, etc. We learn to compete with other countries but also respect to keep our relationship with other countries, for example not to enter neighbour country without permission. No difference, no learning process.

From: A boy that survived from nuclear war. In 2021, New York is totally destructed by nuclear weapon. Approximately 6 years later, in 2027, thousands of people decide to get out from nuclear bunker, seeking for aid.

Our future war will be full of innovation. One of that interesting innovations is the military suit. Of course, it's not just usual suit but it also has different functions according to soldiers' specialization. Nah, I have many ideas about our amaaazingg futuristic military. Look below!

1. Stealth suit
Like in Harry Potter film, the wearer will become invisible while using it. Using nanotechnology, the particle's suit change the color become transparent while in used. I ever read that US scientist have been developing it.
Suitable for: Sniper, scouter, survivor

2. Ninja suit
Inspired from Metal Gear Solid game. The outer part of its suit is made from exoskeleton that allows the wearer to jump freely like a ninja. This suit even allows wearer to jump from 20 m's height to the ground like a hero!
Suitable for: Infiltrator

3. Chameleon suit
It's also inspired from Metal Gear Solid. It's using nanotechnology. It has smart particle that can adapt the color with its attached texture. When enemy troops attack, the wearer should attach himself to the wall, ground, or any texture around him, waiting for enemies' carelessness then kill them all.
Suitable for: Infiltrator, survivor

4. Guardian suit
The elite soldier standard's suit in the world. Enhanced with heat sensor that can detect mammal's heat in 30 m's radius. In addition, it is also enhanced with mini laser gun in the hand part that can become secondary weapon. So the wearer doesn't need to worry if his primary weapon ammunition is exhausted.
Suitable for: Rifleman, marksman, assaulter

5. Commander guardian suit
Basically, its feature is same with guardian suit, but in addition it is enhanced with mini computer and signal receiver. The receiver receives signal directly from the satellite to give information about desired target area, and displayed it in the mini computer. Because the feature is very awful and amazing, its price is also "amazing" too, hence it is just produced very limited.

I was reading my Bible. Yeah, at the silent night, with the sound of clock.... my mind was faraway. I remembered about my past. My child. Do you know, my child time wasn't happy, very unhappy...actually, I come from broken home's family, believe it or not...

The my mind wandered and wandered again...like the portal of time,,, I remembered, when I was Senior High School,,I don't have the truly best friend...even I was...yah...I hate some of my High School's friends...hence I used my time to play game, because I thought I'm rejected...

Compared with my friends, I am a complicated boy, mysterious boy, because I have complicated past too...

Then I noticed my card that I have in my Bible...I saw Jesus' pictures, I saw some words from Bible that strengthen me very much..

Suddenly I felt lucky, because now my life is quite different, since I entered new university...I am full of hope, I have a spirit of life, I know Jesus deeply...
I feel the perfect love, truly perfect love, when He raise me from my darkness past to now...

Then I started to cry. Fifteen minutes passed...I said to Jesus, "Jesus, who am I, I just an absurd boy, a childish boy, why do You loves me so much, nothing's special in me, why Jesus, why?"

I am really lucky to have Jesus in my life. He gives me a perfect love, that I don't get it from the world...now I realize, I have felt the truly love from Jesus, so I must strengthen my other friends that have problem, I must focus to reach my dream. I believe, Jesus give the life for me to spread the true love from Him to the world, Jesus let me life though I have many bad characters...to change my character...Jesus waits for me patiently...

Now I don't need to regret my past, I don't need to hate my friends, because I believe that all of the events in my life have been planned by Jesus. Just in Jesus' hand, my life is saved. I learn from my past, and now I'm ready to lighten the world.

I won't be surrender, I must reach my dream, to give positive influence for the world, Jesus strengthen me please, I can't walk without U....

Robotic technology is a newer technology if it’s compared with computer or handphone technology. Many big companies or universities are interested to develop robotic technology. Even now robotic technology raises many students’ interest in High School.

Robotic technology is interested in because that technology offers ease. In addition, Hollywood films like Matrix and Terminator are also give contribution to raise people’s interest to learn robotic. Robot is considered as unique thing; beside it offers ease people can expand their creativity with create a new robot model.

Actually, what is robot? How can we say a thing ‘robot’? Robot is a tool to substitute human’s tasks, where it can work automatically. To work automatically robot needs a program to be embedded in its ‘brain’, that’s usually use Artificial Intelligence (AI).

There are some unique robot characteristics that people don’t have. First, because robot uses program as its controller, robot can do complex calculation that’s impossible to be done by people. Second, robot can do without emotion, so it’s surely that robot’s work is accurate and stabile.

In other hand robot doesn’t have creativity like human. So robot’s role to substitute human’s tasks must be set according to its unique characteristic: accurate, stabile, and don’t need creativity. First, robot can do tedious daily human’s tasks. At the moment, many of big companies use robots to do some tasks that aren’t appropriate to be done by human because it’s quite tedious, like mechanical arm robot/gripper to separate and pack goods. In car companies there are robots that are used to weld car’s body.

Second, because of robot’s unique characteristic that can work without affected by environment, robot can do many things that are impossible to be done by human. For instance, to explore Mars, of course many experts don’t dare to land people directly in Mars. Hence experts must research Mars’ condition whether it can be landed by human or not. The only one way is to send robot to Mars. Phoenix, robot that’s sent to Mars by NASA, even can do a mission that’s held by NASA, to search whether there’s a life sign or not.

Japan has developed snake robot that has very flexible body. That robot can detect disaster or fire victims that are buried in ruins. A task that’s very difficult to be done by human. In other way, robot can detect gas leak or toxic level.

Further, because of continuous innovation that is being done, robot’s functions aren’t just to substitute tedious or hazardous human’s tasks. In medical field there’s a robot that’s specialized to substitute doctor’s task to do surgeon. Doctor just controls the robot from other room. The usage of surgeon robot has some advantages. First, minimize the incision in patient’s body. Second, avoid the carelessness that can make malpractice that maybe done because of human mistake. It’s because robot can work very accurately according to program that’s embedded.

Innovation also allows robot become a tool that’s very helpful in human’s life. Robot can accompany old and handicapped people. For example, Care-O-Bot can detect its foreman’s condition. If its foreman becomes suddenly unconscious, Care-O-Bot will try to call his/her many times. If there’s no respond, Care-O-Bot will automatically call ambulance for help. There’s also a cute Japanese robot, Wakamaru, a humanoid robot that’s specialized to communicate with people. Wakamaru can greet and guide people, provide the newest information like weather and forecast, and highlight events.

Now some kinds of robot are also created to help our daily activities. Toyota Motor Corp and Tokyo University are collaborating to create robot that can clean our room, make our dining table neat, and the other maid’s tasks.

Military also often uses robotic technology. Robot is very helpful to help soldiers. Before US soldiers attack target, they send UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) as spy to give information about target area’s condition. USA also has Robodog, a robot that’s very helpful to carry soldier’s logistics and seek enemies. Robodog even can walk in heavy terrain like mountain.

Beside its function to help people, robot also becomes an object to show human’s creativity. Showing creativity by create sophisticated robot is a pride for the maker. Hence many big companies use their own robot as mascot. For example, a humanoid robot ASIMO that is claimed as the smartest robot in the world is a Honda’s mascot. ASIMO’s ability is very amazing; she can play violin, go upstairs and downstairs, and give respond when she sees her shadow in the mirror. There’s also a dog-shaped robot Aibo, a robot that’s become Sony’s mascot. There are so many interesting robotic innovations: female robot with fourteen expressions (Fashion-bot HRP-4C), child robot (i-Cub), chef robot (Okonomiyaki Robot/ Motoman SDA-10), and teacher robot (Saya).

The development of robotic technology is undoubtly very fast. It is even same as computer technology’s development 30 years ago. Bill Gates predicts that in 2025, robot will be known as general things as our computer or handphone right now.
But right now, to make robot as general thing, it still meets some problems. First, the quite high price of robot. It’s appropriate because robotic technology is considered a new technology. A new technology needs thought, effort, and fund that are not few. But little by little the price of robot will be decreased while the demand increases. The handphone’s price proves that. In 1990, just rich and important people that have handphone but now handphone is considered as very common things. Now almost every people have handphone.

Second, there are still few robotic makers. Robotic knowledge is still considered as complex and difficult object especially in the developed countries. But while the demand of robot increases, people will be encouraged to learn robotic technology.

As a conclusion, robot is a new technology but it’s very interesting. Beside it offers ease, people make robot to show their creativity. Robot is still a new thing but people need it because the unique robot characteristic like stabile, accurate, and isn’t affected by mood and work environment make robot is used to substitute improperly human’s tasks, for example hazardous or tedious tasks.

Human’s will to make robot more perfect from time to time make robot’s function isn’t just to substitute human’s tasks but robot also can help people like help handicapped people, do maid’s tasks and so many.

At the moment, the research to make robot more perfect is still continued. It makes robotic technology as the most prospective technology in the future.

This idea was appeared when I was in day-dreaming at home. If you like war games, maybe this idea can help you to develop your games. Okay, it’s my idea.

“In 2050, there are two strong blocks in the world: Asia-Pacific and USA. They have military competition among them. Pentagon has many military robotic factories in Alaska; these factories are independent from human. It means that these factories can product robot soldiers without human’s intervention.
One day, APF (Asia Pacific Forces)’s battleships that guard their territorial in Bering Strait near Alaska, has gone too far into USA’s area. US Forces consider it as provocation. So US Forces send many armies to destroy them. Then USA declares war to Asia-Pacific.
Two days later, many and many US soldiers, aircrafts, battleships, vehicles, tanks, and helicopters cross Pacific Ocean to annihilate APF. But it’s not easy. APF has prepared many missiles to reply US invasion. Many missiles are launched from Japan, China and Taiwan. Besides of that, the number of APF soldiers is much than US Forces.
Of course Pentagon doesn’t want to be a loser. Then they decide to use their secret weapon in Alaska: robot soldiers, before they invade Asia-Pacific again. So the number of US Forces’ death can be minimized.
Finally they give access to many robots that will invade Asia-Pacific. They are terrifying; they have unlimited numbers because they are machine. They can replicate themselves and build other robots. Then these machines begin to invade Japan and then China. That strategy is apparently success, APF can’t defend their bases. Many important cities like Tokyo, Shanghai and Taipei are fallen.
The US Forces dare to come invade Asia-Pacific again. Many US soldiers are sent into Asia-Pacific area. With robots’ help, they can invade them quickly.
But there is one important city in Asia-Pacific that isn’t yet being invaded: Beijing. There are so many hackers that are trying to sabotage robot factories in Alaska. They build a satellite to sabotage them. The satellite is used to seek how these robots work.
Finally they know it. Then they try to sabotage them through computer. Unfortunately, they make fatal mistakes that change the program of these robots. The program changes the attack target; before these robots are sabotaged, they just attack APF. But now they have new targets: ATTACK ANY HUMAN.
Because these robots that are already in Asia-Pacific area controlled by factories in Alaska, that mistake also changes the robot programs. Now these robots are brutal; they attack US Forces, APF, civilian, building, and so on. Many robot ships are sent automatically to Asia-Pacific to destroy EVERYTHING.
US soldiers that are not ready to handle that situation, also become victims. So there are two choices that they have: insist to invade Asia-Pacific, so there are three blocks: USA, APF, and robot, or they choose to try together with APF to annihilate these RISING MACHINES.”

Okay that’s all. This scenario has rather difference compared to the others; the place setting is in Asia Pacific, so you can feel different nuance.

Hem…long time no write in my blog, finally I can write again because it’s holiday time. Wow, I really feel busy period especially in the beginning of May. Yeah, during the holiday I have planning to learn everything that I want.

But it’s definitely not possible if I learn too much. My brain has capacity limitation too. Because I want learn so many things:

• I want to learn language, English, Chinese and Japanese. I think that it’s impossible if I just read many articles and notice the vocabularies that I get. I have experience, I have many language books in my home, I try to remember the vocabs, but I think it’s really not effective, because I can forget them easily. Until now, I can’t speak fluently. Hmmm… I see many of my friends that are very fluent in speaking language. They usually learn by watching video. So, I’ll try to learn like them, watching video. I think it’s very effective, so my learn method isn’t just reading and writing like I do until now. Besides of that, I can feel enjoy in learning language.

• I want to learn how to make robot! I’ve already begin to make robot some months ago, but it has been delayed because there’s not enough time….too busy T_T. So I’ll continue my robotic project again. The most important thing that I need is partner! I can’t work alone, but if there’s no partner, I must try how I can build it alone. I think I have many limitations in learning robotic: no detailed hardware specification, no detailed program, and so on. But I’ll try to break them.

• I want to learn Artificial Intelligence. I have borrowed AI book from library. When I read it at the first time, I think it's not difficult if there's a teacher explaining it to me. It’s my dream: I’ll learn AI for robotic or other “smart machines” next time as my expert.

• I want to learn art! It’s my friend’s suggestion, that people must have right brain’s ability besides left brain’s ability. I’ll try to draw futuristic art, because I really like it.

Wow, so many things, I doubt that I have enough time in holiday to learn them all. So I must have priority: Robotic is the main priority, because it’s my target: I must create at least one robot this year. The second is AI. And the others, I think I still have time after holiday. I must have great spirit and concentration!!

Yeah, I wanna learn about robotic but I need partners to learn.
My IT lecturers don't have enough time to teach me and my friends....
I've bought some components like PCB, resistor, transistor, and so on, but I don't know what I must do with them. Because I didn't get electro in Junior and Senior High School.
In addition, many of my friends that have embedded system subject, they are building a line follower robot.
Wowww....I wanna too....but I need some partners!!! Partner that can teach me about electro, program from the beginning.
I can't be patient now!! Ahh...maybe I'll "die" if I don't build a robot ASAP...

One day, our crude oil will be really exhausted. But it’s good news: our scientists are success to substitute crude oil with nuclear energy and biofuel. Hence the world’s technology is really sophisticated indeed. So many new inventions are being created: giant robot, its size much bigger than your house. The technology also allows our commercial aviation to reach outer space. Vehicles that you use and see now are obsolete; they will be substituted by solar panel vehicles. Big cities like Tokyo, New York, Paris, and Beijing become megapolitan. You won’t believe this: their skyscrapers’ height more that one thousand meters.

How about their military? Hmmm. Thirty percents of soldiers are substituted by robot. Some countries even do cloning with their soldiers. They also build a very big and sophisticated defense system: can you imagine, a hill that are specialized to save gigantic cannon? The hill has a gate: when the cannon will be used, the gate is opened and the gigantic cannon will do “rain shot”. Rain shot can kill all people in a medium city and destroy all of structures in the city! The gigantic cannon also can launch many rockets that are ready to welcome enemy aircrafts.

There are three blocks of some countries with their super project: Europe Union (become one nation), they build gigantic laser WMD (Weapon of Mass Destruction). If the laser is launched, the effect looks like…can you imagine, a very big magnifying glass that is in the sky, concentrate sun heat? The area under the magnifying glass will be melted; people, building, animal, plant, everything!

The second block, USA. They have an obsession to realize one gigantic project: sky aircraft carrier. That flying object can carry more than 1000 soldiers, and also be a “flying airfield” by many aircrafts. If that object is flying over your city, the sky will dim for fifteen minutes, and you’ll see the sky is blocked by that object. How about its power? Very powerful, of course. It can bombard and destruct a city within less than one hour with its saturation bomber.

The third block, Asia. China, helped by some sophisticated Asia countries like Japan, Taiwan and Korea (North and South Korea were already united many years ago, they’re in peace too.), they build a dragon machine. You won’t believe this: they modify Great Wall become the greatest war factory in this world. They substitute the wall by super titanium so the Great Wall can defend itself from superheated. They also modify it become a dragon. In the dragon’s head, there’s a strange factory; it can produce many robots and UAVs itself without human. In the back of the dragon, there are many and many nuclear, hydrogen bomb, and rocket launchers. They can reach any place of this world.

March 2, 2009, I inserted my CD Rom that've already burned in my internet cafe that I usually come. I needed it to copy some data to my desktop computer. Afterward, I saw my C drive, and I was really shock. Sooo many strange folders namely," Microsoft.lnk, Harry Potter and...lnk, and so many".

Many days before that day I've already known this virus on my desktop (this virus namely Yuyun, so sh*t name). But at this time I used my System Restore and this virus disappeared from my computer (but actually I don't know, maybe there are still so many hidden virus files). So, I tried again System Restore to heal my computer.

Click, click, click. I used System Restore. But after my computer restarted, I really shocked while I saw information " no change have been made". I began to panic, and I checked my C and D drive. My notion's true. This virus made more and more strange folders!! My antivirus, AVG 7, couldn't detect this virus because there was a new virus variant. So I turned off my computer and went to bed with very bad mood.

March 3, I woke up with bad mood too. That day I planned to search in internet to get information how to kill Yuyun. And I found a way to kill this virus: end the process of wscript.exe, delete many hidden virus files like database.mdb in My Document, autorun.inf and thumb.inf. In evening I went home rather happily, but also afraid too.

I turned on my computer and tried this way. I spent one night....but nought!! Huhhhh.....This day, mission failed.

March 4, I was very very bad mood. I thought about my computer, so I couldn't concentrate in lesson. I asked my friends... but the answer is very simple, "reformat...". Wahahahh. I couldn't imagine to reformat my computer. My C and D drive was infected by Yuyun!! If I reformatted my computer, it means that I'll lose ALL of my data. That day I had no spirit to search in the internet, and I didn't turn on my computer.

March 5, I had many spare time and I used it to find "virus killer". I downloaded two kinds of antivirus: Kaspersky 2009 trial version and PC Mav 1.93 build 4, and a tool to show hidden file, Total Commander. Oh yeah, I've found the article that say," If your computer is infected by Yuyun virus and you can't heal your computer within one week, your computer's process will be very slow and in the end, your computer will be 'DEAD'!" hikzzz....

But fortunately I also found articles that make my more relax. The first article say, " Yuyun virus actually doesn't destruct your data." And the second article make me spiritful, " If you got a virus on your computer, don't be sad. Consider it as friend that want to be understood."

So I became motivated. Let's do war with virus!! Hehehhh.. weapons to kill Yuyun forces is mine! Then I went home and try my first weapon: Kaspersky. But ohh...it also couldn't detect Yuyun, maybe because I just downloaded the trial version so Kaspersky didn't give full protection.

Then I used second weapon: Total Commander. I used it, so many hidden virus files showed and I deleted it. And I also cleared my registry. But.... the virus was very very naughty!!! After I deleted it, the virus appeared again, again, again....I became stress...hu-uh...

Finally I used my nuclear weapon: PC Mav 1.93 build 4. After scanning process, I restarted my computer. Then I deleted the remaining folders that've made by the virus, and I restarted again. When my computer turned on, an error message appeared, "Couldn't find the script 'database.mdb." Hahahaha....the virus was error!!!!! So silly...I checked my C and D drives again, and...it's clear.

After 4 days war, finally I win...
Thx God...

I have a friend; her IQ is just 98, but now she is studying about doctor in a famous university.

I have a friend; he has already begun his business since Senior High School, while me and my other friends was wasting our teen times with playing games and gossiping.

I have a friend; she became object of ridicule in Senior High School, but she apparently neglected it and she was still looking spiritful in her days.

At first, I must tell you, why I must climb? Well, the main reason, because of my Jury. My Jury holds a competition that must be followed by all people. Who’s the winner? The winner is who can found and reach the top of the Mount Life. Annotated, my Jury doesn’t like weak mountaineer. So, I must follow….

Before I climb Mount Life, I stare it. Wow, so high, even I can’t see the top! Look, the mountain is shrouded by very thick mist in height! Hmm… can I climb it? My Jury doesn’t give me the characteristic of this mountain! So, I lack of knowledge about Mount Life, but I must climb it. Can you imagine it?

Fortunately my Jury gives me two sherpas to guide me, but just for a while. My Jury says to me, “ Okay, rookie mountaineer. There are your sherpas. You must hear them, because they have more experiments than you. Although they just can guide you for a short time, they’ll very helpful. I tell you, you’re very lucky because I can give you guider. There are some rookies that I can’t give. Why? Because I have different plan, different way for each people, but actually they have same goal: the Top of Happiness. Ready? Go!!!”

Well, finally I do it, with my sherpas. One year, two years, three years… I learn so many things from my sherpas. I learn how to avoid sharp rock. I learn the characteristic of fierce animal’s lair. I learn how to avoid sucker mud. I learn how to be a good climber…

One day, my sherpas tell me,” It just the beginning, my rookie. The higher you climb, more and more difficulties you’ll face. The forest in height is very dense. And remember, we can’t guide you for a long time. Someday our Jury will call us back. It means that you must climb alone. No, not alone. I’m afraid and start weeping. I beg them, please to always guide me! I can’t! Then my sherpas say to me,” No, don’t be afraid. Remember that our Jury doesn’t like weak mountaineer. Just believe your heart. If you are daunted, remember that our Jury will give you a very, very precious prize. Think, if you’ve already in the top, you can motivate the other climbers. You can say ‘Hello, world!!! I’m here!!’ while waving your hands. So, don’t be afraid! You must strong!”

My sherpas’ said makes me calm. Oh, my journey to top is apparently very hilarious! Well, I begin to imagine, what are there in the height? A giant spider? A werewolf? I’m ready to fight with them!

Time goes fast. Step by step my sherpas allow me to be an independent mountaineer. Now, I have known so many other climbers. One day, I meet some climbers that invite me to rest for a short time in a cave. This is a beautiful cave indeed. So many precious stone inside. Wow! I am very happy. With them, we play together. Oh, I fall asleep. I see many other climbers pass the cave where we rest. They continue to climb as if there’s not a cave there. My friends say to me, “They’re so fool! Why don’t they rest for a while here?” I agree….

So many valuable times are wasted just like that. I play and play. I forget about Jury, about my destiny to found and reach the peak. Why must I struggle it, if there’s so many gold, diamond here?

Hmm. I also hear some climbers outside my cave say to me,“ What are you doing here? Don’t you notice that so many climbers pass you while you play here? Whereas you began at the same start with them! But they pass you farther and farther. They’ve already climb this mountain much higher “. I don’t care about their advice. I continue to play with my friends.

Several years later passed without result. My sherpas is very sad because the climber that entrusted by the Jury to them forget about his goal to reach the peak. So my sherpas enter the cave and pull me out of the cave by force! And then they scold me,” That’s enough!! Remember that we told you, if not of all the climbers that you’ve known are good for you?? Look at the height!! Your climber’ friends that started this climbing at the same time with you, now they are farther in front of you!! And you??!! You are still here!!”

Brakkk!! It’s the first time my sherpas scold me like that! Okay, how do you feel when you’re realized by your mistakes that you have done for several years? Yeah, very regret indeed. For several days I just sit in a rock, very regret about it. Then I think, “Well, I’ve done wrong things up till now, so many my valuable times that I waste. I want to redeem it. I’ll follow them and come afterward they who have already farther in height!”

My regret for several years gives me new spirit. So I prepare rope, water, and other things that I need for climbing. I enter these things to my backpack and then carry it. I have strong will to continue my climbing and leave my cave friend. Afterward I climb the mountain with high speed! The other climbers that see my energetic climbing interested to collaborate with me. So, we are helping and helped! With collaboration, we are become faster and faster.

Despite of this, there are still so many temptations that will make me down. Temptation like seeing scenery below me for a while is very dangerous but interesting. It can make me go down because I’m so interesting with the scenery below. Or maybe there’s other temptation, like carelessness. If I climb too energetic but careless, slippery ground or even just small rock can make me slip down. I always must motivate myself: The scenery in the top of Mount Life is absolutely beautiful and astonishing. The scenery that I’m viewing now is nothing!!!

So I must climb faster but careful too. I know I just a human. Someday maybe my spirit become down. Someday maybe I walk alone in dense bleak forest that shrouded in mist. Someday, maybe there is fierce animal like wolf or snake that makes me daunted. Someday I will meet terrain that are very difficult to be climbed, hence I must find something to be relied on. But I always believe: My Jury won’t give something that can’t be done. Also, my Jury doesn’t like weak climber. I must remember it to motivate myself!


Now I’m in the slope. While I have energy and spirit to run, I will run. Now I can see the top clearly! Wait for me, world! Someday I have already in the Top of Happiness, waving my hands and shout:

C is a programming language (PL) that must be learned by beginner programmer. Why? Because C is procedural PL so we can see clearly about the program structure. Of course, we are more understood with sequential PL rather than we learn OOP (Object Oriented Language) at first.

For me, C isn’t an unusual PL, because when I was Senior High School, I had learned about it. Actually not C, but GNUC++, variant of C. So at least I know about the common syntaxes like scanf, printf, return x, and… oh, I forget the others because I haven’t learned it for one year.

Indeed, C is very easy to learn compared with the other PL because it syntaxes are similar with our natural English language. It’s quite different than when I learned Java PL at first. The Java syntaxes like System.out.println, public.void.static. blah blah blah, and so on, make a shock effect for me. “Wow, what the hell is it? Syntax for one command consists of two or three words! Can I remember it?” I think. In addition, there are also main and class, so I must learn Java PL extra harder than C. If C, at a glance I’m already understand with this program structure.

In my opinion, C is a fundamental to learn the other PL like Java or C++. If we have well-understood about C, I think it’s no problem to learn the other PL especially to learn OOP. I also think, C is very long-life. As a procedural PL, C still can exist amidst OOP that’s very popular right now. Let’s compare with Pascal that becomes unpopular now.

I want to learn C more special rather than Java or C++. Because C is the main PL of microcontroller programming, in addition I want to learn about robotic. So, C is quite healthy vitamin for me!!

If you ask this question to Australian or US people, you’ll be ridiculed. So, I write this article especially for Indonesian people, because that’s my native country, and just some people can write English well in my country (including me?? Hehe..). I’ll tell you my experience writing my blog using English.

Actually, I have no willing to write my blog with English language. I prefer to write my blog using Indonesian. Because it’s more expressive, easier, and faster. But the reason why I write English, look at my Google ads in the left side of my blog! It’s good reason. As you know, with joining with Google ads program, you must write in languages that provided by Google, for example: Germany, Denmark, English, and Chinese. Unfortunately, there’s not my own language there. So of course, I choose English. The other reason, I want my blog is known by people in other countries.

Do I find difficulties (look, not difficulty)? Of course! Even until now, I must open my dictionary when I write English. Okay, here are the tips:

1. Spend one night for one article, if you can’t write English spontaneously. It makes you more focus for writing. If you can’t, one article even can spend in two or three night. It’s no problem. It happens when you write English at first or, the article that you’ll write are difficult article. For example, when I write Chernobyl disaster. It’s the most difficult article that I write.

2. Use dictionary. It’s the most important. As you know, I always prepare two kinds of dictionary: English – Indonesian and Indonesian – English. English – Indonesian to find English words that I don’t understand (exactly, to make sure the word that I use), and the others to find the proper synonym.

3. If you’re using Microsoft Word program to write, you’re lucky. This program provide auto correction program to correct your word. Look! If your word is underlined with red line, it means that your word is false in spelling. If your word (or sentence) is underlined with green line, it means that your word or sentence is false in grammar.

4. Use quotation mark if you don’t find the proper term. For example: It’s the most ‘heavier’ article that I write. (the other alternative: It’s the most difficult article that I write). But don’t too much, because it makes people that write your article think that you can’t write. Ideally, at least just one or two.

5. Notice the term that you’ll use. If you want your article is written by common people, use common term too, and vice versa. In the other word, use the proper synonym. For example:
- Decrease or diminish?
- Develop or thrive?
- Famous or eminent?
- Great or tremendous?
- Happiness or hilarious?
- Solid or stiff?
- Healthy and strong, or husky and lusty?
- Peak or summit?
- Torn or ruptured?
- Victim or prey?
Wow, I must open my dictionary again!

6. Notice grammar. Don’t make the other people that write your article become confuse. So, you must practice about grammar, because it’s the basic.

7. Avoid plagiarism. If you want to write science article, of course you must search the other source like Wikipedia. I suggest, read and understand the source first, and then write it in your own style. If you just copy and paste, you get nothing.

8. Check your article again after you finish.

The most important things, you must practice more and more. First article, second article, third article, you’ll find difficulties. Nothing is instant. But look! After you finish the twelfth article or more, try to write spontaneous article, not using dictionary. It’s the process. Nothing is impossible. Let’s try!
